Properties:
Eucalyptus essential oil has a fresh, medicinal, woody, earthy odour and is clear having thin viscosity.

Origin:
It originated in China.

Extraction Method:
It is extracted using steam distillation process.

Chemical composition:
Cineole, Pinene, Globulol, Camphene, Limonene, Pinocarvone.

Therapeutic properties:
Arthritis, bronchitis, catarhh, cold sores, colds, coughing, fever, flu, poor circulation, sinusitis.

Uses:
Eucalyptus essential oil is fantastic on skin ailments (Burns, blisters, wounds, insect bites, lice, and skin infections), as well as to cure colds and the flu. Eucalyptus essential oil is also applied to sore muscles and joints.

Precautions:

  • It should be used in dilution.
  • It should be avoided during pregnancy.
  • Eucalyptus oil products should never be applied to the face of an infant or small child because they can cause asthma like reactions.
  • Do not use if you have digestive problems, inflammation of the stomach or intestines, a biliary duct disorder, or liver disease.

Blends well with:

Pine, Thyme, Lavender, Rosemary, Marjoram, Cedarwood and Lemon.
