Properties:
Tangerine essential oil has the typical citrus scent - fresh, radiant, and tangy sweet. It is yellow orange in colour having thin consistency.

Origin:
It originated in China.

Extraction Method:
Tangerine oil is extracted from the peel by cold expression.

Chemical composition:
A-thujone, a-pinene, camphene, sabinene, b-pinene, myrcene, limonene, y-terpinolene, linalool, citronellal, terpineol-4-ol, nerol and geranial.

Therapeutic properties:
Antiseptic, antispasmodic, cytophylactic, depurative, sedative, stomachic and tonic.

Uses:

  1. Tangerine oil is soothing to the nervous system.
  2. It has a tonic effect on the digestive system, while helping flatulence, diarrhea and constipation.
  3. It is also useful for the skin and is used to help with stretch marks, increasing circulation and reducing fluid retention.

Precautions:

  • Care should be taken not to expose the skin to sunlight after a treatment

Basil, Bergamot, Cinnamon, Clary sage, Clove, Frankincense, Lavender, Lemon, Lime, Neroli, Nutmeg and Orange.
